ABOUT THIS ROLE

We’re looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer to join the team and play a key role in designing, implementing, and maintaining our infrastructure and deployment processes. In this position, your expertise in cloud, infrastructure as a code, and container orchestration will ensure the stability, security, and scalability of our services. WHAT YOU’LL DO

As a Senior DevOps Engineer, you’ll work closely with our CTO and own all things DevOps. Primary responsibilities include:

  • Manage security, introduce API gateways, and make public APIs accessible to customers

  • Design, implement, and maintain scalable infrastructure using AWS and Terraform

  • Manage production and development software environments, ensuring high reliability and uptime

  • Implement and manage autoscaling solution to handle varying workloads

  • Collaborate with development teams to optimise CI/CD pipelines using GitLab

  • Monitor and troubleshoot system performance, ensuring high availability and reliability

  • Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for infrastructure and deployment processes

  • Participate in on-call rotations to provide 24/7 support for critical systems

Job requirements

REQUIREMENTS

To thrive in this role, you’ll need a mix of skills, relevant experience, and a proactive mindset. Here’s what we’re looking for:

  • 8-10+ years of experience in DevOps or related roles

  • Strong proficiency in English

  • Experience with container orchestration platforms (e.g. Kubernetes, ECS)

  • Strong knowledge of infrastructure as code (IaC) using Terraform for AWS managed services (RDS, S3, ECS)

  • Experience with container orchestration, microservices, and Postgres database management 

  • Familiarity with CI/CD tools, particularly GitLab Ci

  • Experience with REST APIs, load balancers, and reverse proxy

  • DevSecOps and data engineering knowledge and working with Python and Golang would be nice to have

  • You are happy to spend 3 days a week in our Berlin office
